The 2004 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa (also known as the Hayabusa) is a sport motorcycle known for its powerful engine and high speed. One of the fastest production motorcycles in the 1990s was the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. This sports machine debuted in 1999 and won the acclaim of being the fastest production bike, with a top speed of 303-312 kph (188-194 mph). In 2004, six years after its introduction, the Japanese maker released the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, a sports machine of the first generation, which comprised models produced from 1999 to 2007. The first generation of motorcycles received no changes, except a necessary one: the rear aluminum subframe was replaced by a steel unit for the 1999 and 200 model years. Under pressure from passengers and luggage and even stressed by an aftermarket exhaust modification, the aluminum unit started to break. Aesthetically, the bike remained unchanged, wearing the same standard components as the previous models, such as a full aerodynamic fairing, a windscreen, a single seat with a passenger seat hump, a four-into-one exhaust system with a silencer on each side, and three-spoke alloy wheels. Power-wise, the 2004 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa had installed a 1,299cc four-stroke liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine underneath its clothes, boasting 175 hp with a peak at 9,800 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm. Handling-wise, the motorcycle was assembled around a twin-spar steel frame that housed the suspension system. A coil spring oil-damped fully adjustable inverted fork with 120 mm of travel handled the front end, while a link-type gas/oil-damped fully adjustable shock with 140 mm of travel dealt with the rear.
