Used 1992 ISUZU ELF

1992 Isuzu ELF 150 — White over Blue

This is a right-hand-drive, Japanese-market ELF 150 that was imported in July 2022 and now carries a Pennsylvania title. The metric cluster shows roughly 49,900 kilometers, or about 31,000 miles.

It left the factory with 14-inch steel wheels, a front parking mirror, folding bed sides, vinyl upholstery, power windows, an adjustable steering column, and air conditioning. Per the seller, the changes since then are an Eclipse minidisc player, a removable steering wheel, and American Racing wheels on new Nitto tires.

Isuzu launched the fourth-generation ELF in Japan in 1984. It was a work truck first, sold in a long list of body styles — pickup and van included — and shipped to markets all over the world; some versions even wore Chevrolet and GMC badges here in the States. Japan dropped it in 2002, but production carried on for years afterward in other countries, including China, where it was built under license.

Power comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel making roughly 89 horsepower and 129 lb-ft, sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual.

Equipment

14-inch steel wheels
Front parking mirror
Folding bed sides
Vinyl upholstery
Power windows
Adjustable steering column
Window built into the passenger-side door panel
Air conditioning

Modifications

Window rain guards
Eclipse minidisc player
Removable steering wheel
American Racing wheels on new Nitto tires

Known Flaws

Chips, scratches, and dents in the paint (see gallery)
Wear on the wood panels
Wear on the driver’s seat cushion and on several interior touch points
Stains on the passenger seat and headliner
Peeling finish and cracked trim on the center stack
Surface rust on some underbody components
