In the 1970s, while the Motor City was dominated by the automotive industry, Rick Hallman found his passion in motorcycles. What began as a way to pass the time quickly turned into a lifelong craft. Before long, a young Jason Hallman was sneaking into the garage, watching and learning. As Jason grew up, father and son dreamed of one day working side by side doing what they loved most—working on motorcycles.

That dream became a reality in October of 2003 when Rick and Jason opened their first motorcycle shop in metro Detroit. Not long after opening, Sally Hallman joined the business, helping turn the small family operation into something much bigger. The shop began by selling motorcycle parts, but when customers started asking if the family would install those parts as well, the business naturally evolved into a full-service motorcycle shop.

The shop quickly grew beyond a father-son operation. In the early 2000s, Jason became deeply immersed in the motorcycle industry. An additional partner, Evan, joined the business, and together Jason and Evan began building custom motorcycles right in the heart of metro Detroit.

By 2008, Rick and Jason decided it was time to pursue another long-standing dream—opening a motorcycle shop in Florida. Rather than relocating the Michigan operation, the family chose to start fresh. In 2010, they launched a completely new shop in Plant City, Florida. Sally once again joined the team, making it a true family-run business from the ground up.

As the years went on, Rick and Sally gradually stepped back from day-to-day operations to enjoy the retired life they had always envisioned. As they did, the next generation stepped forward. Amanda Hallman, Jason’s daughter, began taking on a larger role in the business.

In 2018, the shop officially transitioned into a father-daughter operation, marking a new era for Cycle Stop USA. Jason and Amanda quickly realized they were outgrowing their space, and in 2019 they made another leap of faith by relocating to Lakeland, Florida.

Today, Cycle Stop USA stands as a proudly third-generation, family-owned motorcycle shop and a true one-stop destination for Harley-Davidson and custom motorcycle enthusiasts. We offer everything from routine maintenance and repairs to full custom builds. Our services include turbo and ProCharger installations, complete engine builds, and in-house dyno tuning. We work on Harley engines ranging from classic Panheads to the modern Milwaukee-Eight platform. We also offer quality used motorcycles for sale, each carefully inspected and approved by our team.
